About The Freckled Fork

Hi! My name is Jess and my love affair with food began more than 15 years ago as I endeavored to move past scrambled eggs & 25¢ ramen and on to healthy, innovative and delicious meals.

Some of my most favorite moments in life have been spent in the kitchen with family and friends, around the table with loved ones, and trying all the food in different cities, from different cultures.

There is an excitement I cannot contain when I’m in the kitchen, fumbling through recipes, learning new techniques and watching the pros so effortlessly do their thing. Any given Sunday, you’ll find me curled up on the couch, reading a cookbook from cover to cover like some trashy romance novel.

The Freckled Fork is all about the communal dining experience…in homes, in restaurants, around the table. There’s always an open seat at my table….pull up a chair.

I appreciate your blog on so many levels. My husband and I struggle with infertility. Unsuccessful for 7 years now. We do have an 8 year old son, Zechariah. Thank you so much for sharing your heart and life! I will definitely be following the blog and sharing frequently I’m sure as you seem to have all the words to say that I never can get out.

Thanks for your comment, Cari! It’s such a difficult thing to go through and it’s made it all the easier for us knowing that we aren’t the ONLY ones dealing with it, so thank you for sharing. 🙂

I am so thankful for your blog, I was diagnosed with PCOS in May and my husband and I plan to start trying to get pregnant in January. I know we’ll struggle due to my diagnosis and your story gives me hope that we will become a family in God’s way and He has a plan for us. Thank you for being such an inspiration.
