About Jess

I am Jess. I’m a wife, mother, designer, sister, daughter and friend.

Not to be a weirdo or in a silly obvious way, but I REALLY do love food. I’ve had to pick up a healthy yoga workout routine to help keep all that in check…but seriously, guys, food makes me so happy.

I love learning about all things food…where it comes from, how to grow it, how to cook it, pretty ways to display it, describe it and more. Some of my most favorite moments in life have been spent in the kitchen with family and friends, around the table with loved ones (new and old), trying new dishes in different cities and from different cultures. There is an excitement within me that I cannot contain when I’m in the kitchen, fumbling through recipes, learning new techniques and watching the pros so effortlessly do their thing. Any given Sunday, you’ll find me curled up on the couch, reading a cookbook from cover to cover like some trashy romance novel.

I hope to also write about some other things (not so food-obsessed), some thoughts on life, travel and more. Basically, this space is a space where I’d like to write about lovely things in life that make me {and hopefully, you} smile. There’s always an empty seat at my table….pull up a chair and join me. Here’s to smiling together ❤

I appreciate your blog on so many levels. My husband and I struggle with infertility. Unsuccessful for 7 years now. We do have an 8 year old son, Zechariah. Thank you so much for sharing your heart and life! I will definitely be following the blog and sharing frequently I’m sure as you seem to have all the words to say that I never can get out.

Thanks for your comment, Cari! It’s such a difficult thing to go through and it’s made it all the easier for us knowing that we aren’t the ONLY ones dealing with it, so thank you for sharing. 🙂

I am so thankful for your blog, I was diagnosed with PCOS in May and my husband and I plan to start trying to get pregnant in January. I know we’ll struggle due to my diagnosis and your story gives me hope that we will become a family in God’s way and He has a plan for us. Thank you for being such an inspiration.
